I have to admit, our most recent move back to Chicago has been a struggle. Though we are thrilled to be back in this city, the transition has been filled with ups and downs, emotions and frustrations.

I've been in a bit of a lull lately. With a cross-country move and 30 weeks of pregnancy under my belt (or in my belly), there's no denying a bit of a shift in my ability to focus and maintain my usual routine. I havn't created new artwork for the last few weeks and that bothers me a bit.

Creativity is something that we all have. We, as human beings, are a creation and therefore we have creativity in our bones. There’s no denying it! It’s a wonderful thing because creativity allows us to live a bright, bold and influential life.

Ever since I was little, I enjoyed making stuff. Yes, it often lead to big messes, paint in the carpet and that one time I got silly putty stuck in my (already short) hair because I wanted to see how my hair would add a design in it. But even so, I was always curious and creative.

A few weeks ago, I made my Splendid Coloring Book available for download. It's been so fun to see people filling in the pages and making them their own. I've encouraged those who have bought the book to share their progress using #splendidcoloring. The reviews have been great!
